Sidecar Recipe
1 ½ ounces of Cognac
¾ ounce of Cointreau (or other orange liquer)
¾ ounce of lemon juice
Orange peel or wedge for garnish
Directions:
Add ingredients to a shaker and add ice.
Strain into a glass and garnish with orange wedge.
Options:
Many traditional sidecars are served with a sugar-rimmed glass. The sugar is a bit much for me, so I leave it off.
If you’re wanting to dilute the drink or add more flavor, you can add a splash of tonic water or ginger ale.
