New York City isn’t short on great things to do with kids. Every block has something special for the family. It is rare to find all you can eat places, let alone all you can eat ice cream. Within minutes of walking into the Museum of Ice Cream, we were chowing down on sweets.
We had VIP passes to the museum, which meant we could stop by at any time, stay as long as we wanted, and received an additional special treat at the end of our experience. I chose a margarita and my kids decided on milkshakes.
Each room we entered was colorful and fun. Many of the rooms had activities and games. The highlight of the tour (besides eating ice cream) was jumping into a pool of foam sprinkles. The pool was packed with kids, so I had to control my energetic kiddos from throwing sprinkles and wildly jumping around. We spent around 2 and a half hours eating and exploring the museum. At the end, I needed that margarita.

To fully appreciate the museum, go in with a light-hearted attitude and an empty stomach. If you visit during a high peak day, you’ll need some patience. Go at a leisurely pace and enjoy what each room offers. You can have as many scoops as you want.
Enjoy that sugar rush.
