Mega Bloks First Builders Dylan Dump Truck
If you have a toddler, then you’re probably familiar with Mega Bloks. We are on kid 3 and have a long history with Mega Bloks in our toy boxes. Dylan Dump Truck is another great item by Mega Bloks. The truck comes with 6 blocks that easily fit into the dumper – a real crowd pleaser since toddlers love to take blocks in and out of things. My 17 month old likes to push the truck around, take out the blocks, put them back in, and then push the truck around some more.
Dylan can also be removed and placed back in the cab. I foresee this toy making its way to the beach with us this summer.
Pros: The truck is easily moved and combines two things that toddlers love – blocks and things on wheels. Also, Mega Blok toys are durable and last a long time.
Cons: Only 6 blocks come with the toy. With only 6 blocks, attention spans (whether for building or dumping) will run short unless you happen to have other Mega Bloks to contribute. The dumper is small and can only fit a small amount or bloks, in any event. (Of course, I appreciate the truck’s small size, since it can be easily stored.)
Age suggestion: 1 to 5 years old.

This bag of 80 blocks would be a great addition to the Dylan Dump Truck or any other Mega Blok sets. Toddler will enjoy building and knocking over their creations. More likely, you will enjoy building a creation and your toddler will enjoy knocking your creation over.
Pros: A toy car comes along with the bag to add an extra dimension to your child’s creativity.
Cons: Have you ever wished that all toy block companies would have one design so that pieces were interchangeable? Of course they won’t and we parents will continue to find a variety of blocks that don’t fit together interspersed in our sets. That’s a minor gripe though.
