Surround Sound on a Budget: iLive Soundbar and Woofer System brings the theater home

My hearing has been the latest thing that has been going. I’ve lost 30% of my hearing so far, and for some reason, my audiologist and insurance says it’s not enough to get any hearing devices. Add that to my tinnitus and my TV viewing pleasure can be lacking.

Around the time Wicked was available on streaming services, I received help in the mail. I’ve been wanting a surround sound system for my living room for a long time, but most of them are expensive and I couldn’t justify paying a lot of money for a new sound system. When I heard of the iLive Soundbar and Woofer System and it’s low cost, I knew I had to try it.

We started Wicked as I was hooking up the system via bluetooth, and the low hum of the TV’s audio made it hard to hear when the characters sang. Once the sound system was set up, the world opened up in my ears. The sound provided a theatrical experience in my home, that I’ve never experienced before. Since then, I like to listen to movies and sports with the all-encompassing sound the system provides.

Over the weekend, my favorite band, Green Day, played at Coachella. I wanted to watch the performance and sing along. I wasn’t at the concert, but the sound gave me a fun experience in the comfort of my home.

If you’re on a budget, but want to add more life to your home theater, look into buying the iLive Soundbar and Woofer System.

  1. Thanks Jason, as you know Phil and I both wear hearing aids. I have 60% loss; Phil has 80% in one ear and it isn’t great in the other ear. We depend on the captions 🙂 This might be worth looking into.
