Naked Nutrition Assists my Kids to Stay in Peak Physical Condition

When parents discuss what it’s like to have a child playing on a travel team, we often talk about how much time we spend getting our kids from place to place. We complain a lot about how many practices and games there are and how much of our time is eaten up. As a soccer dad to 4 kids and who has been running kids around for over 16 years, I’ve got a lot to add to the tired sports’ parent conversation.

Another thing we parents like to talk about on the sidelines and everywhere else is the lack of time we have to get a meal on the table. Often, we either toss a quick meal before or after a practice or pick something up on the way home. As much as we are trying to get our kids in top physical shape to perform their sports’ duties, we give up on the nutrition side.

Proper nutrition is essential for a young athlete. Today’s busy lifestyle makes it hard to get kids the proper amount of protein and calories. Many times, my 12-year-old son will play an entire soccer game without getting subbed out. Also, he plays on 2 soccer teams, which means there are days when he has two games in one day. Trying to replace the calories and give him the protein he needs so his body continues to grow and mature properly is as important as getting him to practice and games on time.

This is why I have partnered with Naked Nutrition.

Kid’s Daily Essentials by Naked Nutrition is a protein shake designed for young athletes. About an hour before practice, I mix up a shake for my son that includes 8g of protein made from organic milk, 100 calories, 25 vitamins and minerals, and six organic vegetable powders. There is only 7g of sugar in each drink and there are no artificial flavors, sweeteners, or colors. It’s also great for those with sensitive food allergies, because the shake is gluten free, soy free, and GMO free.

Naked Nutrition isn’t a meal substitute, but makes a great teammate to my busy sports life. We’re on the go so much and mixing up a Naked Nutrition shake before a busy day takes over is helpful for my child’s growing body. Putting everything their young bodies need into a shake helps ease some of my parenting guilt when I can’t get that healthy meal on the table in under 20 minutes.

I don’t know where sports will lead my children and who knows if they will make a career out of being an athlete, but learning how to take care of their body has started now. As they grow older, understanding how much protein and calories they should intake will help guide them into being a healthy and active adult.

    1. If just a shake, I like Naked Nutrition. If I’m using for smoothies or pancakes, I like Healthy Heights.
