Eric Carle’s amazing artwork is showcased in his latest book, Merry Christmas. The pictures come to life with the aid of buttons that either play a short Christmas tune or an animal noise. My almost 2 year old toddler enjoys pushing the buttons as I read to him.
Like most Eric Carle books, the story is short and simple, which helps hold a toddler’s attention to the end. I usually don’t like books with play-along buttons, but I found that the noises weren’t annoying like a lot of other stories that I’ve read (though they are pretty loud).
I’ve long been a fan of Eric Carle’s stories and appreciate the artistry that goes into each story. Fans of Carle’s will enjoy this book as well.
