If you’ve been following my blog for years or if you follow me on Instagram, you would know that I love Magformers. They are one of the best toys on the market. Each one of my kids has enjoyed playing with Magformers over the years and the toys will continue to be played with.
My love of Magformers started a few years ago at an NYC Dad’s Group Meetup where a new toy was going to be played with and the dads and kids would provide feedback. The Magformers were a hit among the kids and the dads. At the end of the event, they provided the kids with a free box of toys. We took the Magformers home and played with them for the rest of the day. After that, Magformers showed up as Christmas gifts and birthday gifts for my kids and other kids that were close to us.
At first, Magformers came in magnetic squares and triangles. We made houses, boats, and other fun structures. Now, Magformers come in a wide variety of playsets. You can buy Fire Trucks sets and other vehicles and the new playsets are amazing, with figures that can interact with the buildings.
Magformers sent over two sets that my kids instantly loved; the Backyard Adventure Set and the Stick-O set. The backyard set is exactly what it sounds like and includes a house and swing for the kids to play with. The Stick-O sets are magnetic animals that you can mix and match together.
Since we’ve been collecting and playing with Magformers for years, we add to our sets and they can become HUGE. There’s also something quite relaxing about clicking and separating the magnetic pieces together. This holiday season, peruse through the Magformers sets and see which one jumps out at you. You can’t go wrong with any of them.
