Disney Infinity Star Wars Starter Pack: Game Review

Infinity starter packThere are rare moments when my kids and I see a commercial together and we all have the response, “I want that!” That happened while we were watching TV and an ad for the new Star Wars game for Disney Infinity came on. We love the Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes game, so we knew we would love playing with the Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars Starter Pack edition.

Thankfully, we didn’t have to wait long to get in on the action, since the Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars Starter Pack is available now.

The game is regularly played by every member of my household (well, every member except my wife and newborn daughter). My 11 year old enjoys creating worlds and fighting the battles that seem to be unlimited. My 9 year old only enjoys creating and interacting with other characters. My 3 year old, who actually loves the game the most, uses the ready-made worlds and adds his own flare. And since players can play at their own pace, no world is too difficult for my 3 year old to maneuver. (Well, sometimes one needs some fatherly help to accomplish a feat, but I am thrilled to oblige.

My wife and I are pretty strict when it comes to what kind of video games we allow our children to play and we are completely comfortable with letting our kids play this game. It is not only a safe game for our kids to play, but it also includes an appropriate level of funness for each kid’s video game maturity level. (Yes, I did create a new word in that last sentence.)

This game would be a great gift for the holidays and since the world can be broadened with additional characters, other family members and friends can contribute to the experience.

Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars Starter Pack costs $59.99, with additional characters varying in cost.
