Bubble Guppies Fin-tastic Guitar
Bubble Guppies is a cartoon on Nickelodeon aimed at younger children. The show follows a group of Merkids (merchildren? – I have no idea what to call them) on their various underwater adventures. The Bubble Guppies Fin-tastic Guitar incorporates the characters and sounds from the show. Toddlers love music and pushing buttons, as my radio unfortunately knows all too well. The Bubble Guppies Fin-tastic Guitar has 3 buttons that can be pushed and four strings for strumming. The guitar is a nice size for a toddler to hold and it plays a variety of songs and special effects. My toddler hasn’t quite been able to hold the guitar properly, but he enjoys setting it on the ground and pushing the buttons. Actually, he mostly karate chops the guitar, and I should add that the guitar is quite durable.

Pros: Kids love music and buttons and most toddlers will enjoy playing with this toy.
Cons: As with a lot of toddler toys, this toy will not hold the attention of the child for a long period of time. The songs are short, which I suppose could be a good thing (no-one wants an eight minute track from a kid’s guitar). But I would have liked the songs to be a bit longer, so that my toddler could pretend to play longer as he dances with the guitar. But that’s just me.
