Vehicle of Mass Destruction- Missile Striker: Toy Review

Every once in a while, I receive a toy that makes me forget that I’m grown-up. A toy that is hard for me to share with my kids. The Missile Striker from Skyrocket Toys is such a toy. The Missile Striker is a remote control tank that fires foam projectiles up to 65 feet. Using the remote control, you can send the tank out into battle, target an object, and send the foam dart hurtling. Just imagine the backyard battles that you can stage!

Guiding the tank-like toy is fun in itself. You’ll find yourself seeing how many different types of terrain the tank can drive over.

Pros: Between steering the tank and firing the striker, there are many different options for play.

Cons: Here is a consideration that many will have to think about:  What level of violence in toys is acceptable to you? Are you okay with kids playing war? Blasting aliens, robots, and match box cars, for some reason, doesn’t bother me, and the little green army men are still one of my son’s favorite toys.  Like any military toy, parents have to set the parameters for acceptable play. Another con: the missile shoots out with quite a bit of speed and shouldn’t be aimed at people.  Getting popped in the eye could result in some damage.
