My family has a history of Alzheimer’s and it will probably continue to plague my family line. It is something that concerns me greatly. I fear that one day, it will be passed on to my kids or their children.
I ran my first NYC Marathon in 2024 and I did it along with the Alzheimer’s Association. It was a grueling training process and I vowed to never run the race again. Yet, here I am once again raising money for the Alzheimer’s Association. It isn’t about the pain for the marathon; it’s about the pain of watching those you love suffer and forget.
The NYC Marathon is November 2nd and I have a huge goal of raising $5,000. If you have been impacted by the horrible disease or know someone who has, please consider donating. Even if you don’t know anyone who suffered from the disease, The Alzheimer’s Association is a passionate organization striving to eradicate Alzheimer’s.
Currently, over 6 million Americans have Alzheimer’s disease and that number is expected to grow to nearly 13 million by 2050. Our future is at risk and we must come together to change the course of this disease.
Please support my efforts by making a donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer’s Association and its work to enhance care and support programs and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.
