Another November, Another Movember: Raising Money to Fight Cancer and Mental Health Issues

As my old Spanish teacher used to say, “Mas vale tarde que nunca. “ The English translation is, “Better late than never.” I’m late to the Movember band wagon this month, but here I am. This is my 6^th year raising money and awareness to combat prostate and testicular cancer.

Here’s why Movember is important. Prostate cancer kills 35 men an hour. Testicular cancer is the most common cancer for men under 40. My step-father lost a battle to prostate cancer a couple of years ago. The wounds are still fresh and always will be. I do not want to see other men go through what my step-dad went through. So, let’s raise money to fight prostate and testicular cancer.

Movember also raises money for mental health and suicide prevention. Meaning, Movember has a lot of work to do. Help me and many other men raise money for this worthy cause.
