Transformers Construc-Bots: Toy Review

Transformer BotMy family loves a good construction type toy and so I was very excited when I heard about the new Transformers Construct-Bots from Hasbro. As the entire world knows, Transformers are robots that take the shape of vehicles. With Construct-Bots, you can choose between Decepticons (the bad guys) or the Autobots (the good guys.) The toy comes in pieces.  Once put together, it works like a traditional Transformer. Think action figures + Kre-o + Tinker Toys… Oh yeah, plus Transformers.

My family went on vacation last week and we took the Construct-Bots on the plane with us. While in the air, we put our tray tables down and went to putting the toys together. It took us about 20 minutes to piece together the Transformers. We confused a couple of pieces and didn’t quite find the grooves for some pieces to go in at first, but eventually we had an assembled Transformer. My kids (but mainly my 9 year old) had a fun time putting the toys together. It was a great way to pass the time on the plane and many fellow passengers gave us curious looks as they walked down the aisle to the bathroom. I recommend this toy for those that also find themselves embarking on planes rides with kids. (It is equally fun for adults that still hold fond memories of playing with Transformer as kids.)

Pros: Putting together the Construct-Bots is a fun way to work together with your child on a project. This toy is a top recommendation from me this holiday season.

Cons: If you think you will be putting together a Transformer that looks just like the Transformers that already come together, you’ll be let down. Imagine a more a skeletal look for the popular toy and your expectations will be closer to reality.

Price: Varies from $9.99-$34.99

Ages: 6 and up

  1. It isn’t really the present, but the thought that matters most, so give some thought to your present diligently.
For the most part, give something you know that the person will want, maybe something which has come
up in talking or something similar that you’ll have
seen the person eyeding or exploring. There are many diffrrent extra marks that will be made for enjoyment and ingenuity.
