Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Flingers

More and more kids are watching the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon on Nickelodeon, what with the cool graphics and interesting storylines and all. Cool toys go with cool cartoons and TMNT has many of them out on the market. One of those cool toys is the TMNT line of Flingers.

There are four types of Flingers – Leonardo shoots sewer covers out of the front of his shell, Michelangelo shoots pizzas out of the front of his shell, Raphael flings sais, and Donatello flings bo staffs. As you roll the turtles across the floor, wheels in their feet trigger the shooting mechanism.  My son likes to set up other toys and have the Turtles knock them down.

Pros: Donatello and Raphael are fun to use since they fling sais and bo staffs with their hands. If you have a TMNT fan in your house, those two would be a great gift.

Cons: The sewer covers and pizzas that shoot out of Leonardo and Michelangelo slip out from time to time and flying sewer covers and pizzas aren’t as interesting as ninja weapons. Kids seem to have more fun watching sais and bo staffs fly from the Turtles for some reason.

Ages suggestion: 4 and up.
