Daddy, I need to run

“Daddy, I need to run.”

My daughter said the above statement as we drove down the road. She didn’t say, “I want to run” or “Can I run?” She said, “I NEED to run.” Knowing what that feels like, I guided the car next to a cove and let her run wild and free…

Foreshadowing.

  1. One of my fondest memories is bursting out the screen door, down the wooden steps, seeing my dog waiting for me and running, running, running in the yard with a cool breeze in my face – freedom! I was 4 years old. I know how your daughter feels!
